Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 June 2026 · Operated by Asgard World Ltd

1. Introduction

These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of Asgard News at asgard.news (the "Service"), operated by Asgard World Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Asgard News is a news intelligence platform. It aggregates articles from RSS feeds and the GDELT Project, analyses them using artificial intelligence, and presents them with bias indicators, perspective analysis, and portfolio impact assessments. The Service also includes a chat interface, daily digest emails, interactive news graphs, and Asgard Briefing, an AI-generated audio podcast feature.

The news content displayed on Asgard News is sourced from third-party publishers. We do not create original news content. All article summaries, bias assessments, and analytical commentary are generated by AI and should be treated as informational aids, not as definitive editorial judgements.

2a. AI interpretation, quotes & intellectual property

Asgard News is a news-aggregation and AI-interpretation tool. It is not a news agency, publisher, or original source. Summaries, “perspectives,” framings, and bias ratings are Asgard’s own AI-generated interpretation of how outlets have covered a story. They are not statements of fact about those outlets, not the views or words of the cited sources, and do not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Where text appears in quotation marks, it is intended as a verbatim excerpt of third-party reporting, used for the purposes of reporting, comment, criticism and review (fair dealing / fair use), with attribution and a link to the original. All articles, headlines, images, quotations, trademarks and other materials remain the property of their respective owners; Asgard claims no ownership of third-party content. Bias ratings are algorithmic opinions, not factual claims about any outlet.

Publishers, rights-holders, and individuals may request removal of specific content, an outlet-wide opt-out, or correction of an interpretation at any time via our content removal page (support@asgard.world). We act on such requests promptly.

2b. Asgard Briefing: AI audio podcasts

Asgard Briefing is an AI-generated audio podcast feature. Episodes are produced entirely by artificial intelligence from third-party news data; no human journalist, broadcaster, or commentator is involved in their production.

The podcast hosts, including but not limited to Maya, Kai, Alex, Priya, Sam, and Jamie, are entirely fictional characters. They do not represent real people. Any similarity to actual persons, living or dead, is coincidental. Any guest characters that appear in episodes are likewise fictional; their names, roles, and affiliations are invented and do not refer to real individuals or organisations.

Asgard Briefing episodes are produced for informational and entertainment purposes only. They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or medical advice. Statements made by AI hosts about stock prices, financial performance, or analyst opinions reflect publicly available data at the time of generation and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Always verify financial information with authoritative sources before making any investment decision.

Opinions expressed by AI hosts represent the AI’s interpretation of available reporting and do not reflect the views of Asgard World Ltd, its employees, or any third party.

We disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated podcast content.

2c. Personas, content modes, and distressing content

Asgard News offers optional content personas, including a “Kids” and “Teen” mode, that adjust the vocabulary, framing, and topic weighting of content displayed in the Service. These personas are editorial filters, not parental controls. They make content easier to read or less technical; they do not guarantee that all content will be appropriate for any particular age group or that no distressing material will appear.

News by its nature covers events including, but not limited to, conflict, violence, natural disasters, political unrest, crime, and human suffering. We do not pre-screen news articles for distressing content, and we cannot guarantee that users will not encounter material they find disturbing, upsetting, or otherwise harmful. Users who are sensitive to such content, or who are accessing the Service on behalf of minors, should be aware of this limitation.

If you are using Asgard on behalf of a child under 16, you acknowledge that you are responsible for supervising their use of the Service and that persona modes do not substitute for parental oversight.

If you encounter content you believe should be removed, please contact us via our content removal page.

2d. Prediction markets data

Asgard News may display prediction market data from third-party platforms, currently including Metaculus and Polymarket. This data is displayed for informational and editorial commentary purposes only.

Metaculus is a community forecasting platform. Participation on Metaculus does not involve wagering, real-money stakes, or financial exchange of any kind. Probabilities shown represent community median forecasts and are not financial advice.

Polymarket is a real-money prediction market platform regulated by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as a designated contract market. Polymarket is not available in all jurisdictions, including the United States and other regulated markets. Asgard News does not facilitate, process, or intermediate any Polymarket transactions. We display publicly available market odds as editorial context only. Clicking a Polymarket link takes you to an external platform governed by Polymarket’s own terms of service; you are solely responsible for ensuring that accessing Polymarket is lawful in your jurisdiction.

All prediction market odds, whether from Metaculus or Polymarket, reflect crowd-implied probability at a point in time, not editorial judgements or recommendations by Asgard World Ltd. They do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or any inducement to trade. Past performance of any forecast is no guarantee of future outcomes.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or legality of data provided by third-party prediction market platforms.

2e. Publisher content: our basis for use, attribution & removal

Asgard News obtains news content from publicly available RSS and Atom feeds, the GDELT Project, and similar syndication channels that publishers make available for distribution. We use that material to (a) detect and cluster coverage of the same event, (b) link you to the original article on the publisher’s own site, and (c) generate our own transformative summaries, consensus descriptions and bias analysis for the purposes of reporting, comment, criticism and review (fair dealing / fair use). We do not present ourselves as the source of, and claim no ownership in, any third-party article, headline, photograph, logo or trademark; all such rights remain with the respective publisher or rights-holder.

Wherever third-party content appears, we attribute the source and link to the original, which is designed to drive readership and traffic back to the publisher. We aim to display only headlines, short excerpts, feed-supplied images and our own analysis, not the full text of articles. Where a source is behind a paywall, we do not attempt to circumvent it, and our summaries are not a substitute for the publisher’s paid content.

We respect publisher choices about syndication. If you are a publisher or rights-holder, you can request removal of specific items, an outlet-wide opt-out, suppression of your images, or correction of an interpretation at any time via our content removal page (support@asgard.world), and we will act on such requests promptly. For the avoidance of doubt, these Terms do not grant you, as a user, any rights in third-party content, and they do not create or evidence any licence between Asgard and any publisher beyond the terms on which that publisher’s feeds are made available.

3. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your account is being used for fraudulent or harmful purposes.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Asgard News offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you choose). Prices are displayed on the Service and may be updated with reasonable notice.

When you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing cycle. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access to paid features until then.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation. Infringe the intellectual property rights of others. Distribute malware, spam, or any form of unsolicited communication. Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts. Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk without our written permission. Use the Service to build a competing product or to systematically republish our AI-generated analysis. Interfere with the normal operation of the Service.

6. AI-generated content

Asgard News uses AI models provided by Anthropic (Claude) and Voyage AI to generate summaries, bias assessments, chat responses, and other analytical content. This AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only.

Where a framing, perspective label, or “reading” is shown alongside a named source but is not a verbatim, attributed quotation, it is Asgard’s own interpretation of that source’s coverage, not the source’s own words, position, or endorsement. Always verify against the original reporting, which we link to.

AI-generated analysis may contain errors, inaccuracies, or biases. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. You should not rely on it as a sole basis for making financial, legal, or other significant decisions.

Portfolio impact assessments and related financial analysis are informational tools, not financial advice. We are not a registered financial adviser, and nothing on the Service constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security.

7. Intellectual property

The design, code, branding, and AI-generated analysis on Asgard News are owned by or licensed to Asgard World Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without our written permission.

News articles and media content displayed on the Service remain the property of their respective publishers. We link to and summarise this content under fair use and fair dealing principles, and we direct you to the original source for the full article.

Your user data (preferences, portfolio holdings, chat messages) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process this data as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services and links

The Service links to third-party news sources and uses third-party infrastructure providers including Supabase, Anthropic, Voyage AI, Stripe, and Vercel. Prediction market data is sourced from Metaculus and Polymarket (see section 2d). We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asgard World Ltd and its directors, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time. Where changes materially affect paid subscribers, we will give reasonable advance notice.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at support@asgard.world. We may terminate or suspend your access if you breach these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the breach.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including limitation of liability, intellectual property, and governing law) will continue to apply.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, contact us at support@asgard.world.
